How to Protect (Or Destroy) Your Reputation Online Ships Oct. 26, 2016
New online reputation management book, How to Protect (or Destroy) your Reputation Online is now available for pre-order at BarnesandNoble.com. Author John P. David, a public relations and marketing consultant with more than 25 years of experience building publicity campaigns and guiding companies through complex communications crisis situations, developed the book after working with a number of individuals and corporations facing online attacks. Initially available in paperback for $16.99, the book will be available on e-readers at publication.
Subtitled The Essential Guide to Avoid Digital Damage, Lock Down Your Brand, and Defend Your Business, the book provides a wealth of practical information on how to protect your online reputation and even remove negative content from search results.
Published by Career Press in Wayne, NJ, the book will ship to Barnes & Noble brick and mortar locations in the fall.
According to David, the book coves important issues for CEOs, marketing executives, job seekers and even young people.
“The Internet is the front door to commerce but also an electronic billboard for your reputation,” said David. “We must all make efforts to gain control of our online image and that of our companies.”
The book describes a number of tactics including how to take control of your online voice and build a reputational firewall, react and respond to an online attack, understand and manage online reviews, and use marketing strategies that will both improve your online reputation and bolster your bottom line.
The book also offers in-depth information about popular review sites like Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Angie’s List, while also offering new information on revenge porn, hate blogs, Google’s “right to be forgotten” in Europe, the business of online complaint sites and even the covert ops of reputation management.
More information on the book as well as its author, who frequently speaks and consults on online reputation management issues, is available at www.onlinerepbook.com.
